Lunch at Sjurebruket (Audun's home in Loen)

Marit welcomed to the house and served lunch which was "Rømmegrøt" and smoked salmon. Magne Loen sat at the same table as the guest and answered questions about family history.

Ruth had brought with her 4 different pictures (3 copies of each) which she gave to Audun. The two pictures of the landscape were recognized. One was taken from almost the same place as we took pictures from the church with the hotel and the fjord as background. The other showed Bødal before the landslide in 1905. The two other pictures were shoving wedding with crowned bride and all the guests. These could not be recognized then (will try to find out more about this later).

Later it was served coffee and "kringle" and "vafler" in Olav A Loen's library.

The guest had gifts to the hosts in Loen: Chocolate, caps, t-shirts and a sugar spoon.

The Loen families from America got two books as gifts from the family at "Markusbruket", "Monsbruket" and "Sjurebruket". One of these books had pictures from "Nordfjord", and the other gave the history of Alexandra Hotel (and some local history for whole Loen)

Marit and Audun's guests from Netherlands helped with making the food. They were Carla, Ge and the children Jari and Dewi. Carla had been in Loen ("Sjurebruket") picking strawberries for more then twenty years ago, and had often visited Loen together with her family later.
